Recreation in City Parks and Trails

Parks & Recreation Trails
Fitness Trails (paved or gravel surface)
- Creek's Edge Trail is a .6 mile, level, out-and-back, asphalt-surface trail located off Sare Road in the Creek's Edge neighborhood. Find more information about the Jackson Creek Trail and Creek's Edge Trail.
- Ninth Street Loop is a .4 mile, paved, level loop trail around Reverend Ernest D. Butler Park. - Find more information about, and directions to, Rev. Ernest D. Butler Park
- Southeast Trail is a flat, 0.37-mile, asphalt-surface trail that runs southeast from the north side of Southeast Park and ends at South Sare Road. Find more information about the Southeast Trail.
- A 0.25-mile. hard-surface trail at Building Trades Park incorporates concrete sidewalks and paved paths. Find more information about, and directions to, Building Trades Park
- There are multiple trails at RCA Community Park. A 0.5-mile, paved trail encircles the northeast portion of the park, around the playground and play fields. The easternmost section of this trail includes a StoryWalk, an outdoor educational activity installed in partnership with the Monroe County Public Library that places the pages from the children's story "At the End of the Day" by Lisl H. Detlefsen in signs along the trail.
- There are two separate trails at Bryan Park that can be combined in a stacked loop. The asphalt-surface. 0.8-mile Fitness Loop encircles Bryan Park, while the asphalt-surface, 0.25-mile Streamside Trail cuts through the middle of the park along the creek through the park. The trails are mostly flat, while a boardwalk of engineered lumber includes a small ramp near the fitness station access trails. Find information about amenities in and directions to Bryan Park

Bloomington Rail Trail
A two-mile, gravel surface trail that connects to the paved Clear Creek Trail at Church Lane.
Cascades Park Trail
One asphalt trail
Clear Creek Trail
20.8 acres stretching 2.4 miles from Tapp Road to Church Lane, and connecting to the existing Bloomington Rail Trail.
Jackson Creek Trail
The paved, 1.3 mile trail connects Rogers Family Park, Olcott Park and Sherwood Oaks Park.
