Thank you so much. My friends, we’re here to honor Toby Strout.

We’re here to honor grit and determination that has been welded together with empathy and caring in one human dynamo.

We’re here to honor one person who has founded and led an organization for 30 years. Who has expanded its services over those 3 decades to six counties. Who has created national award-winning programs. Who has rehabilitated historic buildings and embodied herself ‘The Rise.’
We’re here to honor Toby Strout, who in her work and in her creativity has inspired and empowered generations of women to leave dangerous relationships and build new lives for themselves and their children.

Please raise a glass to toast Toby Strout, who, as was said about another visionary leader, Stephen Mather, who helped found and then lead the National Park Service for our country, -- “Toby, There will never come an end to the good that you have done."

Hear, Hear! And well done.
