Rough section of sidewalk, between the indents in the asphalt and the raised cement square (utility?) patches. Was hard to navigate in wheelchair. This is southeast corner of S Clarriz Blvd and E 3rd St
Overgrown plants and a lot of sticks yard waste on the ground, making sidewalk narrow and not accessible. I don't know if this is city property or residential since it's so close to the bridge.
Broken sidewalk, not accessible
Sidewalk between Cherry Canary and PopKorn is very degraded. The expansion joints in the sidewalk are crumbling apart and are becoming larger. Becoming a hazard for mobility aid (wheelchair/rollator) casters.
Overgrown tree area in front of stores, encroaching on sidewalk that is already narrowed by business displays
Potholes in crosswalk, at S Washington St + E 3rd St, crossing E 3rd St. Wheelchair user needs to go around the crosswalk towards the traffic's right of way, in order to navigate around the potholes and past patches
Feedback for the pedestrian push button in front of the Bloomington Transit Center building: I think it would be helpful to have a button to cross W 3rd St facing the larger portion of the sidewalk. As a pedestrian, I am particularly aware of not getting too close to corners of sidewalks until my time to cross is ready, especially corners with low curbs that busses and trucks need to take tightly against the sidewalk in order to make the turn.
Light art installation not working
I liked the idea of Bloomington sponsoring a Godzilla festival last year, and enjoyed the one movie I went to, which was so bad it was campy. This afternoon, my plans for the day fell through so I thought I would catch the 2:15 Mothra show. I was disappointed to learn that Buskirk was not selling individual movie tickets but only festival tickets for $32. I can’t imagine many people want to see enough movies in two days to make that affordable. Maybe I’m wrong. I hope you publish your profits and ticket sales. I know I did not pay anything like that amount to see one movie last year. Please reconsider your pricing scheme so you can appeal to other than die-hard fans. Thanks.
