Cheyenne Bowlen recently indicated the following request is not a city issue. Her assessment is incorrect. East Winslow Farm Drive IS a city street. The pothole in question has previously been repaired by the city. She may have assumed that the address I provided was on the "semi-circle drive" that extends off the main road. The pot-hole is located on the CITY street side. Please have someone do an on-site visit if you are unable to determine the location of the very seriously deep pot-hole. We would appreciate your immediate attention to this matter. The following is a record of our correspondence. I initially wrote: "There is a significant pot hole at the end of the driveway at 521 E Winslow Farm Dr. The area in question is an "eyebrow" and several of us need to turn unto E Winslow Farm Drive from this semi-circle. The hole is rather large and deep and it has become a serious problem to avoid. The hole is located on the city street of E Winslow Frm Drive. Thank you for your attention to this matter." The response indicates it was "Assigned to Cheyenne Bowlen" with her response as follows: Most tickets of this type should be closed within 7 days, although some cases may be longer. 0 days have already passed. History 4/29/2026 12:04:41 Closed by Cheyenne Bowlen Sandy, The City of Bloomington does not maintain these areas. This would be the responsibility of the HOA. This resident grills/meat smokes all day, almost every single day. The smoke fills the surrounding neighborhood blocks, and it smells like a fire constantly. I cannot open my windows or be outside at my home because of the poor air quality and its affects on my health. It causes respiratory issues and coughing fits amongst other things. The resident walks away from the grill while it's operating. He digs through the BHA dumpsters and uses the BHA dumpsters to dispose of his trash. Can you please direct me to local ordinances of air quality pollution in residential areas, and investigate the possibility that this is a commercial use of a grill/smoker in a residential area? I find the frequency and duration of his grilling is so improbable for personal residential use. It was like this last year as well: grilling all day every day with smoke filling the neighborhood and inability to use the outside areas of my home.
Recycling bin was lost during a tornado warning/storm and we can’t locate it.
Utility pole top and line left suspended over yard after pole replacement.
There is a half-fallen-down branch in the tree plot in front of 212 E. 2nd Street. The leafy branches of that still-connected branch make it hard for cars to have good visibility when making left-hand turns from S. Lincoln onto 2nd Street. That branch needs to be removed before there is an accident.
Joe Davis Political Candidate for Monroe County Clerk has signage in the street parking area advertising his campaign. At night there are bright blinding lights that light up his political campaign signs.
the section of painted bike lane on washington between 3rd and 2nd St's seems to have been removed. Maybe it just faded slowly and I'm just noticing it? Not that the painted line does anything anyway, but I'm just curious if something new is happening here. thanks!
