trash cans at the curb, yearlong problem
trash cans at the curb, yearlong problem
The spruce trees along the perimeter path need some maintenance---weeds like Spanish needles and even saplings are growing up under and around them. Especially the two on the north side below the tennis courts. (Question: I assume you have maintenance schedules for all the Parks---daily, weekly, seasonal, yearly? If so, I'd suggest adding those spruce to the once a year list.
Congrats on the Bryan Park Arboretum designation. A suggestion: a guide to all the trees, accessible by QR code to Park visitors. (Assuming you don't plan on physical IDs like the ones in IU's Arboretum). Perhaps include the trees along Sheridan Creek between Woodlawn and Highland(?). Would be a great educational resource. Some years you had a tree identification activity (submit IDs, get a certificate), intended for kids, but I enjoyed doing it.

I submitted a U-Report several weeks ago. I am a city volunteer and volunteer with the City Utility Department and Park Department in addressing litter and keeping this waste from blocking storm drains and pollution in the city's streams. I bagged the brocken pavement into a red and white old large dog food bag on the west side of our driveway several weeks ago and submitted two reports and the bag is still there and receiced two emails saying that the was cleared. We are moving and our house is for sale. Pease could this be done. Don Eggert 2305 S. Sussex Dr.
There has been an ongoing issue at The Element - The Mill Apartments, particularly in the area adjacent to the townhomes near S. Samuel Ln. Multiple vehicles have been consistently parking in the alleyway behind the townhomes, which not only blocks access to garages but also creates a significant inconvenience for residents. Additionally, vehicles are being parked along Ezekiel Drive, despite clear signage indicating that parking is not permitted in that area. It appears that the root of the issue may be insufficient parking availability for current tenants at The Element. However, this ongoing situation is causing mounting frustration for the townhome residents, who are directly impacted by these parking violations. We request that this matter be promptly addressed in coordination with Adam Village management to find a suitable and lasting resolution.
I have a neighbor who is not picking up his dog's poop. His dog pooped, I asked "are you going to pick that up" he responded that he needed to go home and get a bag. I told him that there are poop bags near my condo dumpster, he walked over, and then flipped my off and did not pick up the dog poop. This happened at Howe & S. Madison. I was with 2 people who witnessed the interaction. There is dog poop in our neighborhood since this guy has been walking his dog on S. Madison. I do not know his name but his address is B112 South Madison. This is Madison Downtown apartments. His auto license is for a grey honda civic temporary place T438780. I see this guy everyday so it would be great if he would pick up his dog's poop. Thanks-Tracy
On Sunday September 14, at around 8 pm, a guy who calls himself "Turbo" came in to the dog park with five out-of-control dogs. These dogs have repeatedly ganged up on my dog and on other dogs. Several people have repeatedly had conversations with him about controlling his dogs and respecting the two-dog-per-person rule at the park. Tonight, when we asked him to call off his dogs, he angrily yelled at my wife and other people at the park. I saw him yell at a guy named Jim and flip over one of the tables in front of him. We tried to leave, and he followed us and yelled at us. We brought our dog home and came back to see how Jim was doing, and in that time, he had returned to the park and was continuing to yell at Jim. Jim tried to file a U-Report, but he wasn't sure if it processed. If security patrols at the Switchyard see a middle-aged white male with gray dreadlocks and five dogs heading toward the dog park, they should know that this guy is trouble. I am concerned that he might escalate a situation, and I don't want to see anyone get hurt.
