The Clerk's Office originally upheld their parking citation appeal. They paid the citation. They also filed this U report to say they didn't understand why it was upheld since they had called to report the situation to parking services on the day they were cited and were told if they paid the wrong meter, the Clerk's office would be able to research it and take it into consideration. We did research it but since we didn't have the last 4 digits of the card used on that day, we misidentified their payment to the meter they were parked at instead of the meter they accidentally paid. We have informed them we have reversed the decision and a refund check will be issued. Susan Stoll

Dear Mike Ciolli,
Your U report was forwarded to the Clerk's Office. Our office reviews all parking citation appeals.
We originally researched your $1.80 credit card payment on the meter where you were cited, 502B. We found that the meter had a $1.80 cc charge that began about 10 minutes after you were cited. Based on that, we upheld the citation.
Upon reviewing it again today, we also looked at the adjacent meter, 502A, and also found a credit card payment for $1.80, but this one was during the time of your parking citation.
We didn't have the last 4 digits of the card used so we didn't properly identify your payment to the wrong meter.
We have reversed our original decision and are dismissing your citation. Since you already paid for the citation online, we will have to issue a check to your wife since she filed the appeal.
If you have any further questions, please call our office at 812-349-3408.
Regards,
Susan Stoll
